Brought in via Addvery for a full redesign of the Global ESG Report 2021. Constraints were hard: 17–20k words, max 85 pages, and a large, messy image set. Copy was late and changing; there was no active PM and brand guidance was in flux. The deliverable was digital-only (investor distribution), so I moved the build from InDesign to Adobe XD to speed iteration.
• Too much content for the page limit; readability and structure at risk.
• Last-minute copy and asset churn with no editorial workflow.
• Prior reports weren’t designed for screen reading or investor scan.
• No clear ownership; timeline pressure from global leadership.
1) Design system & tooling
• Built a modular component library (cover, section openers, data spreads, KPI bands, footnotes, image plates).
• Created a wireframe → layout ladder that could be edited in minutes; populated templates for all chapters in 7 days.
2) Editorial operations
• Defined a late-copy protocol: flag changes, swap modules, reflow automatically—so last-minute edits didn’t break pagination.
• Set up content slots and character limits for each module; standardized tables, charts, and captions.

Praised milestone report by leadership
• Treated the report like a product, not a brochure: built a system first, then shipped.
• Took extreme ownership of the final sprint: moved on-site, worked directly with the internal ESG manager.
• Coordinated approvals with stakeholders, kept decisions binary, and protected the schedule.
